Nellie Ruth Crain, age 93 and born on May 2, 1921, in New Orleans, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, in New Orleans.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Crain; her parents, James Freeman Willis Sr. and Nellie Rippard Willis; and a brother, James Freeman Willis Jr.

A graveside service was held at Seal Cemetery in Varnado at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, 2014, with the Rev. Larry Benson officiating.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
