Lady Eagles close out season with loss

Ben’s Ford Christian School suffered a 7-4 loss to Prentiss Christian in Monday’s road game to close out the regular season.
The Lady Eagles took a 1-0 lead to the second.
Prentiss countered by putting up single runs in the second and third inning to take a 2-1 advantage after three frames.
Ben’s Ford tied the contest with a run in the fifth, but Prentiss responded with five in the bottom of the inning to take a 7-2 lead.
The Lady Eagles came back and put up a pair of runs in the sixth but couldn’t complete the comeback in the 7-4 loss.
Celeste Crowe singled, doubled and scored, while Callie Sprehe singled three times. Chloe Barber singled and tallied. Alexis Temples coaxed two walks and scored a run. Madison Crawford was hit and scored. Kassie Lumpkin also posted a hit for the Lady Eagles.
Ben’s Ford Christian School finished the regular season with a 2-8 record.
