Franklinton High School got good pitching and continued their strong hitting in a five inning 10-0 victory over Pearl River at home Monday evening in Northshore Summer Baseball League action.

Starting pitcher Morgan Angelo, who was the winning pitcher threw four innings of one-hit ball.

Austin Bradford tossed the final frame and struckout two. Bradford yielded just one baserunner, who reached on an error.

“We played real well,” Franklinton coach Jeff Tageant said. “Morgan got in a little jam in the first inning and worked his way out of it and pitched real well after that. Austin came in and struckout two guys in the fifth. At the plate, we hit the ball well and we’ve continued to score runs.”

Offensively, C.J. Estave hit a two-run double to left, while Angelo recorded a two-run double to center. Mack McElveen tallied a two-run single in the victory.

The Demons essentially put the game away with eight runs in the fourth.

The victory puts Franklinton at 5-0-1.

It was the third consecutive game in which the Demons have scored in double digits and the fourth time in six games where they’ve done so.

In the past three games, Franklinton has outscored its opponents 42-11.

The Demons have allowed just two runs over the past two contests.

FHS’ tie was a 4-4 contest against St. Paul’s June 9.
