Franklinton continued its winning ways in the Northshore Summer Baseball League with a 15-2 victory over Loranger on the road Thursday.

The Demons (4-0-1) broke open an 8-2 lead with seven runs in the seventh inning for the 13-run victory.

Trevor Jenkins threw a complete game for the winners and coach Jeff Tageant praised his pitcher.

“He did a heck of a job and kept the ball down in the zone and threw a lot of strikes,” Tageant said. “His pitch count wasn’t very high, so he was able to finish the game.”

Franklinton jumped out to a 5-1 lead and got the bats going early. The first time through the order, Franklinton recorded six hits and a walk.

Major McElveen led the offense by tallying three hits. Morgan Angelo and Johnathan Crain both singled twice. Mack McElveen, C.J. Estave, Colin Dominguez, Jamarian Crain and Austin Bradford all singled for Franklinton in the win.

The Demons are back in action tomorrow, hosting Hannan in junior varsity play and Pearl River in the varsity game. JV begins at 4 p.m. with varsity following at 6:30.
