Bogalusa was abuzz Thursday with word of personnel changes at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital in Bogalusa.
An anonymous source reported that staff members were sent an email stating that four high-ranking officials were no longer with the hospital. Reportedly among those cut from the staff was CEO Kurt Scott.
When contacted for comment, Jon Hirsch, spokesperson on behalf of Our Lady of the Angels, said he could not discuss personnel issues, but acknowledged some changes have been made.
“The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System remains committed to Our Lady of the Angels Hospital and serving the people of Washington Parish, especially those most in need,” he said. “Any decisions that have been made are made in the best interest of the people of the community we serve.”
The hospital was previously part of the LSU Health System. The Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System assumed the management and operations of the hospital, formerly known as LSU Bogalusa Medical Center, on March 17.
