Ben’s Ford downs Central Private
Ben’s Ford Christian School pounded Central Private 65-47 in Saturday’s road game Saturday. The game was originally set for Friday, but weather forced it to be pushed back a day.
Four Eagles scored in double figures led by Daniel Pittman’s 17 points.
KeDarrius Peters had 15, Destin Pittman recorded 14 and Bryan Johnson totaled 13. Ryan Byrd, Reid Pounds and Robert Gaitan had two.
BHS comes up short at Loranger
Bogalusa suffered a 61-57 loss to Loranger in District 8-3A play Saturday at Loranger. The game was originally scheduled for Friday but was pushed back due to road conditions.
Bogalusa trailed 30-15 at halftime. The Lumberjacks trimmed it to 40-31 after three before outscoring Loranger 26-21 in the final period.
Much of LHS’ scoring came from the free-throw line as Bogalusa was fouling to stop the clock. Loranger went 9-of-12 from the free-throw line in the fourth quarter.
Tyran Holloway led Bogalusa (0-15, 0-3 at press time) with 18 points, while Billy Mingo posted 14. Kenyatta Scott finished with eight, and Trey Thomas and Tremarcus Levi scored seven each. Tré Short added three.
Bowling Green falls to MRA
Bowling Green lost 65-33 against Madison Ridgeland Academy on the road Saturday.
Connor McCain led the Buccaneers with 13 points and four rebounds. Patrick Roublow finished with 10 points, while K.J. Robertson totaled four, Jace Ball three, Matt Pierce two and Brady Goings one. Spencer Graves pulled down eight rebounds in the loss.

Bowling Green was topped by Simpson 50-37 on the road Friday.
Connor McCain was the Bucs’ leading scorer with 10 points, and he added five boards. Patrick Roublow put up eight points and hit all six of his free throws. Jace Ball posted seven points with Trent Ball at five points and five rebounds. Dylan Varnado added three points, and K.J. Robertson and Brady Goings both contributed two.

Bowling Green pounds Copiah
Bowling Green’s Kristina Jarrell scored 20 points on 7-of-8 shooting and she made all five of her free-throw attempts in a 56-31 victory over Copiah Academy Monday.
The Lady Buccaneers (27-2) raced out to a 39-13 halftime lead over host Copiah.
Reagan Moody recorded 11 points, while Melissa Crowe had eight. Riley Robertson, BreAnna McNeese and Katelyn Junkins put up four apiece. Sidney Watson tallied three with Hollie Waskom adding two.
Bowling Green falls at MRA
Bowling Green was defeated by Madison Ridgeland Academy 50-22 in Saturday’s road game.
McKinley Seal topped the Lady Buccaneers with eight points and three rebounds. Kristina Jarrell posted four points, with Kaylea Creel at three and Ashley Foret and Hollie Waskom at two each. Reagan Moody had three points and six rebounds.
Bogalusa falls to Loranger
Bogalusa lost to Loranger 63-58 in a District 8-3A contest held Saturday in Loranger. The game was pushed back a day due to road conditions.
The Lady Jacks (11-10, 2-3 at press time) trailed 19-5 after one, but came up short after fighting back.
JaMya Young led her club with 25 points. Nylijah Mingo posted 15 points Shanekqua Mingo had seven and D’Sha Rankins, Jasmine May and Erin Crawford added two points each.

Ben’s Ford Christian School was on the losing end of a 42-27 setback to Central Private on the road Saturday. The game, which was scheduled for Friday, was pushed back to Saturday due to the weather.
Savannah Smith led the Lady Eagles with 10 points, followed by Calli Sprehe’s eight. Cheyenne Riley put up five, and Madison Crawford added four.
Bowling Green downs Simpson
Bowling Green’s Reagan Moody scored 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds in a 67-58 victory over Simpson on the road Friday.
Hollie Waskom scored 15 points, and McKinley Seal put up 10 points. Ashley Foret had eight points and six rebounds.
Kristina Jarrell finished with seven points and six boards. Melissa Crowe and BreAnna McNeese both had two points, with Katelyn Junkins adding one. Crowe also pulled down four boards.
