Pine suffered a 26-28, 25-5, 25-11, 25-9 loss to Loranger in a home game Tuesday.

Rachael Williams served four aces and blocked a shot.

Pine was 2-5 at press time.

Lady Raiders coach Jennifer Hughes said her club came out fired up and fought hard to win the first game.

“The girls played at the top of their game and did great,” Hughes said. “I couldn’t have been more proud. But somewhere in the second set we lost our momentum, and we just never gained it back. We are improving, but we still have a lot of work to do. We need to really improve on keeping our heads up, keeping communication lines open and gaining that consistency.”
