Miesha Q. Myers entered into eternal rest Tuesday, July 16, 2013, at Ochsner Medical Center at the age of 40. She was born on Aug. 16, 1972, to Mary J. Myers and Ceasar Linsey Myers of Angie. She was united with Mt. Zion Baptist Church at an early age and remained a member until her death.
Miesha, who grew up in Varnado, graduated from Varnado High School with the Class of 1990. She was employed by the Bogalusa City School Board, where she met a host of friends who loved her dearly. She was a loving, caring and a very devoted mother. The highlight of her life was spending time with her children and the family that she loved so much. She was always there for others when needed, and always offered words of encouragement.
She leaves to cherish her memories two children, Rod’Neshia Williams and Jeremiah Williams, both of Varnado; her fiancé, Rodney W. Williams of Varnado; her parents, Mary J. Myers and Ceasar L. Myers, both of Angie; three sisters, Mary (Terry) May of Angie, Miranda Myers of Varnado and Bette (Dwight) Womack of Ponchatoula; two brothers, Cecil Myers of Hammond and Keith Myers of San Bernardino, Calif.; two nieces; five nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents, Solomon (Pearlie) Matthews and Leslie (Gladys) Myers; her aunts, Ozalean Foster, Paulette Foster and Lucinda Myers; and her uncle, James “Mickey” Myers.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 21 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa from 2-5 p.m.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 64115 Jones Creek Road in Angie, with the Rev. Dr. A.S. Nelson, pastor, officiating. Interment will be follow at Robinson Cemetery in Varnado.
