Grace Laverne Hayman Jenkins, 75, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013 at the AMG Specialty Hospital in Bogalusa. She was born on Nov. 17, 1937, in Bogalusa.

She is survived by one daughter, Ruth J. Nicholson of Bogalusa; four sisters, Donna Lawrence of Picayune, Miss., Alana Rodeheaver of Bogalusa, Trona Hayman of Picayune and Theresa Thomas of Texas; one brother, Jimmy Hayman of Bogalusa; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Her husband, C. P. “Buddy” Jenkins, and three sons, James Jenkins, John Jenkins and Joseph Jenkins, preceded her in death.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 17 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m.

Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with the Rev. Chad Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Hunt-Jenkins Cemetery.
