Franklinton eases past Hammond
Franklinton’s Ragen Chauvin had a huge day in the Lady Demons’ 15-0 four-inning victory district opponent Hammond on the road Tuesday. Chauvin went 3-4 with two triples, a double and she drove in six runs. Baylee Mixon went 3-3 with three runs scored and an RBI. Darien Dykes and Laken Spears both put up two hits and two RBIs. One of Dykes’ hits was a triple. Alex Williams singled twice. Brittany Burch and Khristian Capo both doubled and drove in a run. Haylee Sanford singled.
The pitching combination of Chauvin and Dykes limited Hammond to just one hit. Chauvin recorded the win with 2.1 innings of relief and she allowed one hit. Dykes started and tossed 1.2 frames, recording two strikeouts with one walk.
Mt. Hermon defeats Varnado
Mt. Hermon was victorious over Varnado 19-4 in four innings Tuesday in a game held at home. Kelsey Withers and Nicole Riley tripled.
Alyssa Woodard and Taylor Blanchard were the pitchers for Mt. Hermon.
Bogalusa falls to Loranger
Bogalusa suffered a 20-0 loss to Loranger in a road game held Tuesday. The Lady Jacks were held without a hit. Jazlyn Scott and Kyla Miley both drew walks for Bogalusa.
Pine cruises past St. Thomas Aquinas
Pine’s Lady Raiders were victorious in a big way over St. Thomas Aquinas 14-0 on the road Monday. Pine (4-6) was 1-4 in district play at press time. Dakota Thomas was the winning pitcher.
