Varnado takes 2 from Bogalusa

Varnado’s Lady Cats were victorious 23-13 and 24-23 over Bogalusa’s Lady Jacks Saturday. Varnado’s Lena Hudson and Keli Morrell both recorded eight hits for the doubleheader, including five during the second game. Allie Amacker and Zoe Busey both posted three hits in the second contest.

Franklinton loses all three games in Brusly Tournament

Franklinton’s Lady Demons went 0-3 in the Brusly Tournament, which occurred Friday-Saturday. They lost 6-2 against Morgan City Friday. Ragen Chauvin, Darien Dykes and Laken Spears accounted for FHS’ five hits. Chauvin and Dykes finished with two each with Spears adding one. Khristian Capo drove in a run.

The next day, the Lady Demons suffered 10-0 and 16-1 setbacks to Parkview and Notre Dame, respectively.

Against Parkview, Carley Shipley’s single was FHS’ only hit.

Brittney Burch posted two hits in the Notre Dame, while Shipley singled and drove in the run.

Mt. Hermon falls to Christian Life

Mt. Hermon lost 16-3 against Christian Life at home in five innings Friday.

Mt. Hermon left at least two runners on base in every inning.

Varnado loses to Christian Life

Varnado’s Lady Cats had a 17-1 setback against Christian Life in Friday’s game held at Mt. Hermon. Lauren Green recorded a hit and scored on Zoe Busey’s RBI walk. Karli Morrel and Lena Hudson both finished with two hits.
