J.B. Byrd, 73, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Louisiana Heart Hospital.

He was a resident of Bogalusa and member of Church of United Faith in Bogalusa.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Bell Byrd of Bogalusa; son, Daryle Wade Byrd and wife Jodie of Bogalusa; daughter, Lesa Kennette Wilks and husband Rev. Jason Wilks of Abita Springs; one brother, Billy Ray Byrd of Brandon, Miss.; a sister, Dot Tanner of Brandon; and three grandchildren, Caleb, Connor and Carter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. and Nevia Byrd, and a sister, Robbie Byrd.

Visitation was held Saturday, July 28 at the Church of United Faith from 1 p.m. until service time at the church at 3 p.m., with Rev. Jason Wilks officiating. Burial followed at Tyson Cemetery.
