Tough first half proves to be key in Lady Bucs loss

Bowling Green’s Lady Buccaneers were unable to overcome a tough first half in a 61-45-road loss to Jackson Academy Tuesday night.
Bowling Green trailed 17-7 after one and 35-19 at the half. The teams played an even second half with each scoring 11 and 15 in the third and fourth quarters, respectively.
McKinley Seal led the Lady Buccaneers in scoring with 11 points. She also grabbed four rebounds, dished out five assists and made two steals.
Ashley Foret finished with nine points, two rebounds, four steals and two assists. Foret was 4-for-5 from the free-throw line.
Hollie Waskom and Katelin Junkins had five points each.
Hallie Robertson recorded seven points to go with a steal. She also made all four of her free-throw attempts.
Waskom finished with five boards, three steals and an assist.
Sydney Watson logged four points and an assist. Jadyn Jenkins had three points on a 3-pointer and Caliee Fruge added one point.
Bowling Green is 1-2 this season. The Lady Bucs’ next game is Tuesday, Nov. 17 on the road against Jackson Prep.
