Alice Virginia Griffith Adams, 78, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, after a short battle with cancer, at her residence in Isabel. She was born May 30, 1934 to Clemon (Laird) and Charles Curtis Griffith.

She is survived by her husband, J. Herbert Adams; three sons, Avery (Peggy) Adams of Bartlett, Tenn., John Adams of Bogalusa and Robert Paul (Tina) Adams of Franklin, Tenn.; one daughter, Sondra Adams (Gene) McGehee; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles “Sonny” (Marjorie) Griffith of Alabama; a sister, Beverly (Gary) Hall of Bogalusa; and a sister-in-law, Cindy S. Griffith of Bogalusa.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Helen Louise Edwards and Shirley Mae Jones; and a brother, Rodney Earl Griffith.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, Dec. 1 at Plainview Baptist Church Cemetery on Highway 60 at 11 a.m., with her brother, Charles Griffith, officiating.
