Mr. Cody Michael Walker, January 30, 1997 – December 20, 2023

Cody Walker, age 26, passed away in Varnado, LA, on December 20, 2023, at his residence.  Cody was born in Lafayette, LA., on the morning of January 30, 1997, at Lafayette General and lived in Varnado, LA. Cody was an OTR Truck driver/Trainer with his faithful dog Jaxx Walker for Magnum LTD for the past five years.

He is survived by his parents Encil (Mike) H. Walker II & Lorri L. Walker. One brother Blake A. Walker, Grandma Mona Rogers of Bogalusa, LA, and three brothers from another mother, Tracy Lombas and Cole & Cort Wheat. Aunt Paula Walker of Bogalusa, LA, Uncle Robert and Aunt Sherri Montgomery of Tennessee, along with aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Preceded in death by Diane Landrum – Grandmother, Jackie Rogers -Grandpa, Encil H. Walker Sr. -Grandpa, Uncle – Lloyd A. Havard II.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. and 5:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M.  The service will be from 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with a non-traditional ceremony where those who want to come up and share stories or memories of Cody.  Casual attire is the wish of Cody and his family.  Afterward, everyone is invited to ride out to the Varnado, LA., town hall building off Highway 21, turn right by the Texico a block and a half on the left.  There will be refreshments and pictures of Cody, and anyone who couldn’t speak at the funeral can at this time.  Afterward, we will be releasing balloons.
