Bogalusa Police Identify Narcotics Suspect

BOGALUSA, La. – The Bogalusa Police Department (BPD) has identified the suspect in a recent incident involving firearms and narcotics. On Thursday, November 30, police were dispatched to Huron Avenue following reports of two men, a black and white male, pointing a firearm at passing vehicles.

The incident, occurred around 3:30 PM, according to Acting Bogalusa Police Chief Percy Knight. “Upon arrival, Officer Crawford observed a group of subjects near the intersection of Huron Ave and Potomac St walking westbound,” he said. Upon the officers’ arrival, one man, later identified as Allen Foster Jr., 38, of Bogalusa, fled on foot. After a pursuit along Ontario Ave., Foster was placed into custody.

Officers found cocaine and heroin in Foster’s possession. He has been charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, and resisting an officer. Foster is currently detained at the Bogalusa City Jail.
