BOGALUSA, La. – A significant fire broke out at McNabb Games, a popular local establishment in Bogalusa, with the owner, John McNabb, citing a possible accidental rekindling from an indoor fireplace as the cause. McNabb, who had stepped out to pick up his children from school, expressed deep concern over the future of the business, which he had nurtured through several loans to provide a communal space for the area’s youth.

Bogalusa Fire Chief Donald Ladner reported that his team responded promptly to a distress call about a house fire. The firefighters managed to extinguish the blaze within an estimated 15 minutes. Chief Ladner indicated that preliminary assessments suggest the fire originated from a makeshift chimney in the building, although further investigations are ongoing to confirm the exact cause.

** Update: Originally listed the Fire Chief as Richard Moody. Corrected to list Donald Ladner as Bogalusa Fire Chief correctly.
