ADAPT, Inc. received the Louisiana Foundation Against Sexual Assault (LAFASA) Program of the Year Award for its work as the Washington Parish Sexual Assault Center (WPSAC).

This award recognizes a center that has done excellent work in the field of sexual violence prevention and response. Rusty Fornea, Executive Director, along with Dana Walker, RPE Coordinator, and Victim Services Coordinators Leslie Holmes and Bobbie Kimbrell were on hand to accept the award at a ceremony held in Baton Rouge.

WPSAC’s fully accredited center provides a wide array of services in Washington Parish. A 24/7 Crisis Hotline is manned to provide immediate services for victims of sexual assault and/or domestic violence. The phone number for the hotline is 985-732-24961.

Additional services include individual and group counseling, hospital escort, law enforcement accompaniment, judicial accompaniment, victim advocacy, victim reparations, emotional support, and prevention education.
