On Friday, Sept. 17, 2021, at the age of 10, the angel of the Lord came and claimed the soul of one we love so dearly.
Ta’Nahj Ja’Quan Moses was born on Oct. 11, 2011, to T’Ona Brown and Emery D. Moses in Bogalusa. He was a student at Central Elementary School in Bogalusa.
Ta’Nahj was a joyful, intelligent and loving child. Ta’Nahj was also a beloved son, grandson, brother and nephew.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories: his parents, T’Ona Brown and Emery D. Moses of Bogalusa; six sisters, E’Monia Moses, Ta’Niya Brown, Te’Arrah Brown, Ta’Leiyah Mingo, Ta’Lasia Mingo and E’meria Moses; four brothers, Emery Moses Jr., Elijah Moses, Tyrell Cooley and Tahj Warford; a great-grandfather, Elder Bobby Brown; grandparents, Eldred Brown and Sheila Brown, Greg and Rosie Levias and Emery Perkins; a best friend, Gregory Johnson Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He was blessed to have his special aunts, Shakeria Magee, Pacee Foster and Twanda Gatlin; a special uncle, Emerson Moses; honorary aunts, Tanjale Fortenberry, Trina Hall an Tasha Hall-Riggins; and his godmother, Demonica Greely.
Ta’Nahj was preceded in death and joins his sister, Ta’Khyla Brown; a brother, Eric “E.J.” LeBlanc Jr.; grandmother, Almetia Brown; and great-grandmother, Helen Brown.
Ta’Nahj will be that angel to watch over his family.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. at the St. John Elizabeth Temple C.O.G.I.C. Visitation was held Friday, Oct. 1, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. at Cook-Richmond Chapel. Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
