Dear Editor,
Thanks to the Town of Franklinton Public Works Department, the citizens of Franklinton never went under a boil water advisory, lost water, or sewage services.
Our police department kept our community safe, and our fire department was always on call. I know that some of you are still experiencing the spread of the
COVID-19 and Delta virus and many of you have been without power for an extended period of time; as soon as it is safe to proceed with repairs, restoration of power will be available. As I have said before with God’s help, we will get through this together.
Clean up — Starting Sept. 13, debris from Hurricane Ida will be picked up. It should be placed by the road (only limbs and trees). Your patience is appreciated. Please follow all safety guidelines to remain safe during this disaster.
Please keep all of our public works, police and first responders in your thoughts and prayers as they continue working to keep our community safe and functioning.
It is a pleasure and a joy to serve as your mayor.
Gregory Route Sr.
Mayor of the Town of Franklinton
