Charmaine Marshay Dyson Anders stepped into the loving arms of her heavenly father on Friday, Sept. 11, 2020, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, and an all-around good person.

Lovingly cherishing her memories are: two sons Mitchell Dyson of Mt. Hermon, and Michael Dyson of Hammond; three brothers, Douglas (Marietta) Dyson of Beaumont, Texas, Phillip (Cassandra) Dyson of Houston, Texas, and Elder Darren (Gwen) Dyson of Osceola, Ark.; sister-in-law, Constance Dyson of Kentwood; brother-in-law, Reginald Grant of Baton Rouge; grandchildren, Amiryan Dyson and Amazin Dyson, both of Franklinton, Malik Dyson of Mt Hermon, and Tyler Dyson of Hammond; one great-grandson, Malik Dyson Jr. (affectionately called “M.J.”) of Mt. Hermon; a god-daughter/niece, Brittny (Luther) Dyson-McCray of McComb, Miss.; two special nieces, Tangela (Irvin) Range of Walker, and Trinity (Cobey) Grant of Baton Rouge; nieces, Destiny, Darian (Sean), Daja, Brook, and Tremaine; nephews, Paul Jr. Daron, Blake, Ryan, and Cameron; three aunts, Bernadine Blackburn of Mt. Hermon, Evelyena Cutrer of Dayton, Ohio, and Mae Helen Hookfin of Kentwood; two uncles, William Cutrer of Kentwood, and Wilton Dyson of Mt. Hermon; and a host of other relatives, cousins, co-workers, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, the Rev. Lenzie and Creola Dyson; brother, Paul Dyson Sr.; and sister, Conchita Grant.

A drive-through viewing will be held on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Franklinton.

A private funeral service will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, at Crain and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Porter, officiating, and the Rev. Kerry James, eulogist.
