The Daily News is once again participating in its annual “Care and Share” campaign.

The way the campaign works, is that individuals, organizations and businesses provide donations to the “Care and Share” program. Those donations are then used to provide food vouchers to members of the community who are in need during the holidays.

This program would not be a success without the support of local citizens who are willing to give back during this time of Christmas. At the present time, The Daily News has received more than $100 less in donations than it received in the 2018 campaign.

We are leaving the donation window open for a few more days, so please give if you can. Even if you only give a little bit, it will help make a difference for those in need.

We appreciate the support of those who have already contributed to “Care and Share.” They include the Ingleside Sympsium, Betty and Jeff Hughes Jr., Robert Purvis, Col. Robert Miller, Rita Clayton, C.J. Brooks and Helen Stewart.

To donate, you can either visit us at our office at 525 Ave. V in Bogalusa, or mail a check to “Care and Share c/o The Daily News, P.O. Box 820, Bogalusa, LA 70429.”

Thanks for your donations, and we wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and joyous holiday season.
