At the Seal residence and the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office, we say “Merry Christmas” in acknowledgement of the true reason for this significant observance. As I prepare to celebrate my eighth Christmas as your sheriff, I offer my sincere gratitude to our wonderful staff, each of whom works hard daily to serve and protect all residents of Washington Parish. Their unselfish devotion to duty enables each of us to enjoy the peace and beauty of our beautiful rural parish.

I am grateful also to their wonderful families, who sacrifice so much so each officer can fulfill his or her duty. Their unwavering support deserves the appreciation of each of us. We must never forget that our officers will be on duty patrolling our parish on Christmas Day while most of us are celebrating with our families.

My gratitude extends to the wonderful citizens of our parish who support the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office in our efforts to fight crime. Our staff always tries to do the right thing at the right time and for the right reason. Your prayers and support are so valuable assets for each of our employees as they strive to help keep Washington Parish a safe place in which to live and raise our families.

I wish each resident of our parish a very blessed and Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year! May 2020 be a year of blessing for all.

Randy “Country” Seal is the sheriff of Washington Parish.
