Bobby Shane Magee, 45, of Franklinton, died Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at his home after a lengthy illness. Shane worked off-shore for many years and also worked as an electrical lineman, traveling to other states around the country. He also previously had a car detailing shop in Franklinton. Shane was a big LSU and Saints fan and also loved watching WWE wrestling. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors and liked mud-riding in his truck and on his four-wheeler. Shane was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

He is survived by: five children, Kelsey Magee of Pine, Santana Riley of Denham Springs, Dexter Magee and Austin Magee, both of Franklinton, and Evan Bankston; three grandsons, Garrett Van Slyke, Kendall Van Slyke and Cody Phelps Jr.; mother, Debra Kennedy Magee and Jerry Hill of Franklinton; brother, Dakota Shade Magee of Franklinton; sister and brother-in-law, Cindy Magee Gerald and Brian Gerald of Pine; nieces, LaCristin LaShea Wells and her children Kenna, Maddie, and Paul,

Ashlynn LeAnna Gerald; former wife and friend, Kristie Simmons Spears; special aunt, Rita Jones; and also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Magee; a grandmother, Esma Cox; and grandparents, Woodrow and Wilkie Magee.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. Friday with Bro. Ronald Wilson and Bro. David Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence’s Creek.

Pallbearers will be Cain Flynt, Keith Holiday, Matt Shoemaker, Cody Phelps, Eddie Phelps, Dakota Kennedy and Tristan Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Evan Bankston, William Harding and Kelvin Dunn.
