Bowling Green School’s softball team reached the Class AAA championship round after going 3-0 on Monday.

The best-of-three series for the title began on Wednesday and the Lady Buccaneers were defeated 6-4, as Clinton Christian Academy hit a three-run homer in the seventh inning to take the lead in a back-and-forth game.

Bowling Green has a chance to rebound from the loss and capture the Class AAA championship.

The series continues with game two at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5 at Hinds Community College and game three to follow if necessary.

Good luck to the Lady Bucs on having a successful Saturday that will hopefully end in a Class AAA Championship.
