The next two weeks provide children to compete and learn about three different sports with a pair of camps and a tournament.

The Washington Parish Golf League has two tournaments left — one on Monday, July 8, and another on July 22.

The competition is open to Washington Parish residents from 10-18 years of age.

The tournaments take place at Franklinton Country Club.

Friday, July 12, is a busy day for basketball at Varnado High School.

The school is hosting a one-day basketball camp from 8 a.m. until noon for $23 per participant.

The clinic is open to anybody between the ages of 5 and 15.

At 1:30 p.m., Varnado is hosting Franklinton in a varsity scrimmage.

Over at Bowling Green School, the baseball camp was rescheduled for July 15-17.

Children ages 7-13 are eligible to participate.

There are several great chances over the next couple weeks for children to learn, compete and enjoy different sports.
