The month of April is near and it is a big month for high school spring sports.

The seasons are reaching their climax.

During April, team sports are attempting to either reach the playoffs or better their position for the postseason and then continue to advance once they get there.

Those in individual sports are attempting to advance to the next level of competition.

In Washington Parish, the high school sports that are taking place right now are baseball, track and field, tennis, golf, and in LHSAA, softball. The MAIS schools play softball starting around the beginning of August.
