Mrs. Barbara Kennedy passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2019. Barbara was a member of the Superior Avenue Baptist Church of Bogalusa. Barbara was born in Bogalusa, where she lived all of her life.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Kennedy; her daughter, Karon (Kay) Kennedy Taylor (Sharp) of Angie, Mona (Jimmy) Smith of Clarksville, Ark.; and one son, Britt Kennedy of Laplace. She leaves behind eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Lewis, Leslie Lewis, Amy (Neil) Cuneo Knight, Kana (Alex) Dean Kennedy, Britt Kennedy Jr., Dustin (Karen) Kennedy, Kisha Kennedy, and Brittany Mcgehee Herndon; along with 12 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death was her father, Pierce Sandifer; her mother, Vivian Kephart; brother, Kenneth Sandifer; and two sons, Bryan Kennedy and Keith Kennedy.

Services will be held Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. until noon at Superior Avenue Baptist Church and burial will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
