Tami Gray

Tami Gray passed away Saturday morning, Dec. 1, 2018. She was the daughter of Ray and Hazel Briese. Tami was from a family of four, Raymond Briese, Sandra Moody, and Greg Briese.
Tami graduated from Touro School of Nursing in 1969. She went on to get her advanced degree in psychiatric nursing. She loved nursing. The reverence and compassion she had for others was felt by everyone she touched.
Tami had the honor of being the 1964 Bogalusa Paper Queen.
Other loves in her life included Minnesota, where her family had a beautiful fishing cabin on Lake Wabasha. There they had many happy times. She loved the lighthouse adorned rocky coast of Maine, which she visited many times.
Tami had our daughter, Michelle Gray and two grandchildren, Katelyn Gray and Christopher Kuhn whom she had a special place in her heart. Tami was blessed with many nieces and nephews whom she cherished.
She loved gardening and she loved her pets — taking in many homeless through the years. She was especially fond of the poignant story of the rainbow bridge. Here this side of heaven all the animals whom have been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Here pets and owners alike are united in love again to cross the beautiful rainbow bridge together. Never to be parted again. Tami never got a chance to paint this.
Tami has been married to Alan Gray for 40 years. It was both his greatest privilege and pleasure to share his life with her. Her elegance, grace, and loving company will be greatly missed.
Au revoir mon cheri amour.
Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa has been entrusted with her arrangements. Services will be held at a later date.
