Greetings,

I am a registered Independent for the past 40-plus years. I state that fact because I am simply asking everyone, regardless to party affiliation, to read and assess the positions of the aspiring candidates. Vote for those who goal is to build, or rebuild, as the case may be, our community.

It is not for me to suggest, promote, nor endorse any candidate. One of the unique results of a small community is that we get more exposure with our elected officials. That relationship has tremendous benefits. We get to know them outside the political arena. That helps, or should help, us make more informed decisions.

My plea to you and the reason for this letter to the editor is to encourage you to vote. Thank you for sharing your time with me. Go vote!
