James Mondy

Mr. James L. Mondy was born Jan. 20, 1956, to the late Bernice Mondy Buckley and Jessie Lee Terrell and departed from his earthly house to his home in glory at the age of 62 on Friday, Oct. 26, 2018, at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington.
He attended Bogalusa High School and graduated in 1975. James worked at The Bogalusa Medical Center as an OR Porter for over 30 years and retired. He also worked as a caregiver at Pride and Hope for a while.
He leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Krystal (Trevious Nelson) Mondy and Karla (Eric) Robinson; one son, Tremain Mondy of Bogalusa; one sister, Kathy Watts of Chapel Hills, Tenn.; five grandchildren, Daisha Mondy, Donel Mondy, Eric Robinson, Elijah Robinson and Edric Robinson of Bogalusa; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends; and god-daughter, Chasity Henry of Bogalusa.
James was preceded in death by parents, Bernice Mondy Buckley and Jessie Lee Terrell; and step-father Thomas Buckley; one son, James Lee Mondy Jr; and two sisters, Bernadine Peters and Valerie Johnson.
Visitation will be held Friday, Nov. 2, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 3, at the funeral home at 11 a.m., with Apostle Clayton Bullock officiating.
