Calvin Eugene Irvine Sr. passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2018, at his home in Bogalusa, at the age of 80.

Calvin is survived by one son, Calvin Eugene Irvine Jr. and his wife Debbie, of Bogalusa; three daughters, Deborah Montz and her husband Kenneth, of Slidell, Terry Howard of Sumrall, Miss., and Kimberly Miller and her husband Robert of Pine; one brother, Harbert Irvine and is wife Winnie Lou of Angie; two sisters, Ethel Seiler of Schertz, Texas, and Daisy Knight of Bogalusa; 16 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Calvin was a U.S. Navy veteran, and was an active member of Central Missionary Baptist Church in Pine.

Calvin was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Jane Hill Irvine; parents, Louie and Minnie Irvine; three brothers, Harlan, Danny and David Irvine; and one granddaughter, Rhonda Bankston.

The funeral services were held on Friday, Oct. 12, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, at 1 p.m. with Elder Doyle Ball officiating. Visitation began at 10 a.m. and continued until the service time. Interment immediately follwed at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa. Military honors were performed by the American Legion Post #24.
