Former Varnado football player Delrick Abrams had a solid contest in his first game with the Colorado University Buffaloes last Friday at home.

The defensive back, who graduated from Varnado in 2015, made nine tackles, one for a loss with a pass breakup. Six of his stops were solo tackles.

The Buffaloes won the game, 45-13, over Colorado State University.

This was Abrams’ Colorado debut. Prior to this season, the junior was at Independence Community College in Kansas.

Abrams’ next game takes place on Saturday, Sept. 8, which takes place at Nebraska at 2:30 p.m. The game is on ABC and Abrams wears No. 1.
