Dottie J. Williams — a much-loved mother, daughter and sister. Dottie Jean Williams, 73, peacefully passed away on Sept. 1, 2018, at 12:35 p.m. at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, with her loving husband beside her.

She was born Dec. 11, 1944, in Bogalusa. Dottie was the second of 12 children born to L.V. and Sarah Henry. She attended Central Memorial High School, where she graduated in 1965.

She worked as a salesperson in several department stores. She was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church at an early age, and she later united with Greater Salter Chapel A.M.E. Church.

A visitation was held Friday, Sept. 7, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Cook-Richmond Funeral Home Chapel in Bogalusa.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Greater Salter Chapel A.M.E. Church. The Rev. Willie Gauthier will deliver the eulogy.

Interment will be at the Bogalusa Cemetery.
