Peaches Abbott

Peaches Mevers Abbott passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2018, at the age of 63.

Beloved wife of the late John W. Abbott, daughter of the late Herbert A. Mevers and Edna Bennett Mevers.

She is survived by her stepsons, John W. Abbott II and Ashley “Ash” Abbott; brothers, Michael “Mike” W. Mevers and Hebert “Toby” A. Mevers Jr.; nephew, Scott Mevers; niece, Christine Mevers Conger; grandniece, Amelia Mevers; grandnephews, Thomas Conger Jr. and Gray Mevers; and step-grandchildren, Madeline, Parker, Johnny and Amelia Abbott.

Mrs. Abbott worked in the hospitality industry for many years all over the world before her final job on the Creole Queen in New Orleans where she met her “Honey,” the love of her life, John W. Abbott. From the day they were married in May 1985 until his passing in 2014, the two were inseparable. Over those loving years she owned horses and dogs for her great love of animals.

Peaches was also survived by her faithful boxer/pit bull mix, Bon Ton, who has been with her since his adoption in February 2005.
