Bogalusa Venturer Crew 313 and Bush Venturer Crew 213 are setting out on the 57th annual Bogue Chitto River Canoe Marathon Race.

Both crews have put in plenty of hours in preparation for this, as they will see their hard work come to fruition.

The competition is a 3-day, 110-mile race that begins in McComb, Miss. on Thursday and concludes at Lock No. 3 in Sun on Saturday morning.

After that, both crews are headed to Arkansas for the 52nd annual Explorer/Venturer Canoe Marathon White River Race.

That event runs from Thursday, July 26 and wraps up on Saturday, July 26.

The competition is a 3-day, 120-mile event that begins in Bull Shoals, Ark and ends in Batesville, Ark.

The crews have had plenty of success over the years and we wish them continued success this year.
