Former Franklinton catcher C.J. Estave, who is a sophomore catcher at Copiah-Lincoln Community College, is a first-team all-state player in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges.

Estave graduated from Franklinton in 2016 and had a solid season.

Estave batted .370, reached base at a .489 clip and slugged .528 in 34 games.

Estave hit two home runs, drove in 23 runs and scored 36 runs. Estave doubled nine times and tripled once.

Eatave was also successful in 12 of his 14 stolen base attempts.

In conference play, Estave’s average, on-base and slugging were even higher at .442, .524 and .731.

It is a great accomplishment for a former high school player from Washington Parish. Congratulations to Estave.
