Martha Sheila Mizell, born Jan. 12, 1954, went home to be with the Lord on May 4, 2018, at the age of 64. She was a devoted wife and mother and was of the Pentecostal faith.

She leaves behind a son, Joseph Mizell and his wife Laura of Sun; a daughter, Renotta Smith of Picayune, Miss.; a brother, Larry Lavern Jenkins and his wife Connie of Franklinton; two sisters, Barbara McCain of Franklinton, and Paula Sue Gedney and her husband Elmer of Franklinton; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Barbara Alsobrooks Jenkins; her husband, Gerald Ray Mizell; a daughter, Toni Mizell; a brother-in-law, Terrell McCain.

Visitation was held at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Monday, May 7, beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leon Hickman will officiate the services, with the interment to follow in the Mizell Cemetery in the Isabel community.
