On Monday, April 23, 2018, at the age of 64, the angel of the Lord came and silently claimed the soul of one we love so dearly, Mr. Leon Sanders. He was born to the late Mr. and Mrs. Will (Matilda) Sanders Sr. of Bogalusa on March 26, 1954.

In order to cross that threshold of death, he had to leave all that he cherished. He leaves to cherish his precious memory: his two sisters, Gloria McKinley of Shreveport and Nora (William) Augman of Bogalusa; a host of nieces, nephews, Jonathan Hall, Jeremy Hall, Derrick (TiQuana) Sanders, Darian Renter, Keith (Marlice) Sanders, Kemdrick Hall, Diata Sanders, Derica Sanders, Khalice Sanders and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will (Matilda) Sanders Sr. of Bogalusa; one sister, Betty Brown; two brothers, Will Sanders Jr. and Riley Parker; brother-in-law, Clarence McKinley; an aunt, Elverta Coleman; and an uncle, Issiah Curtis.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 27, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 28, at 1 p.m., at the Crain and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Sanders officiating.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
