Several sporting events are coming up

Over the next few months, several sporting events are taking place, which will allow for outstanding competition and provide fun for the participants.

On Friday, April 20, the Franklinton Chamber of Commerce is holding its inaugural golf tournament at Franklinton Country Club.

Breakfast is at 7:30 a.m. and the tournament begins at 9 a.m.

Just eight days later, Franklinton’s track and field teams are holding their second annual color run, beginning in front of Franklinton’s football field house.

Check in is at 9 a.m. and the race starts at 10 a.m.

In Bogalusa, the 22nd annual Milltown Classic, a 5K run/walk is set for Saturday, May 19 in Cassidy Park to help benefit the Bogalusa Rotary Club.

Registration and check-in is set for 7 a.m. and the race gets under way at 8 a.m.

On June 14, the Legends All-Pro Football Camp is being held at Bogalusa High School.

Just two days later, the 12th annual Sports Work Academy Basketball Camp is going to take place at the Bogalusa YMCA.

Registration is at 8:30 a.m. and the camp starts at 9 a.m.

These events provide solid competition and plenty of fun and more may come up as we get closer to the summer.
