The first day of spring falls on Tuesday. Let’s hear it for springtime, when the cold dark season becomes pleasant with beautiful flowers and the aromas thereof, and all sorts of sweet, burgeoning life!

Spring is the birdsong time of year, when content nesters can’t help but express their profound joy. Unless you like the cold, dark, bleakness, you should celebrate the advent of springtime, when fresh, new life abounds. And it is not only birds. It is new plant life, as well.

The Daily News would like you to celebrate your renewed life, too. Look around you and see what is fresh and new, breathe it in deeply, and cherish it. Better yet, give it a prayer or a wish to help it flourish.
