Everette Sharp

Everette Sharp, born March 4, 1929, passed away at his residence on Saturday March 10, 2018, at the age of 89. He was a lifelong resident of the Isabel community and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Everette is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Peggy D. Sharp; daughters, Sheila Creel, Brenda Ikerd and her husband Bobby, Tammy Duncan and her husband Tim; a son, Karl and his wife Laurie; two sisters, Beulah Enman and Caroleen Johson; a brother, J.L. Sharp; grandchildren, Daniel Creel, Angela Jones, Lauren Howell, Lisa Canoy, Bobby D. Ikerd, Kristi D. Galloway, Amy Duncan, Kodi Sharp and Zachary Sharp; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren with numerous nieces and nephews and his beloved pets, Teddy Bear and Rosco.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Alda Sharp; a son, Terry Wayne Sharp; sister, Ruby Jean Evans; and a son-in-law, Roger Creel.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 15, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. The Rev. Leon Hickman will officiate the services and be assisted by the Rev. Michael Thomas. The interment will follow in the Mizell Cemetery in Isabel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests to make donations to the Isabel Baptist Church or to the Mizell Cemetery.
