Robert Roy Nichols Jr., 91, passed away Feb. 25, 2018, at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Home in Reserve. Robert retired from the Bogalusa Community Medical Center, where he worked as a Lab Technician. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a lifetime member of Plainview Baptist Church.

He is survived by one brother, John Nichols of Bogalusa. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Roy Nichols Sr. and Bevie Mizell Nichols; and two sisters, Kathleen Mizell and Ella Dee Bowman.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Thursday, March 1, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Friday, March 2, at Plainview Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time for services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by American Legion Post #24. The Rev. Scott Breland and the Rev. Keith Sheridan will officiate.
