National Signing Day is always exciting.

Players are letting everyone know where they are headed to play their sport in college.

It is not only a great day for the players, who are continuing their career in a particular sport, but it is also great for those who have watched, mentored, coached, taught, been teammates, or helped the players in some way during their high school careers.

Six players from Washington Parish sat behind a table and signed their letters of intent on Wednesday.

At Bogalusa, Dianté Lenoir is going to Southwestern College in Kansas. Former Bogalusa player Tym Toussaint and current seniors Joemon Roberts and Cody Sumrall are all going to Bayou Prep in Baton Rouge.

Two players from Varnado are headed to the next level. Desmond Harry inked with Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo. and Darian Vargas signed with Sterling College in Kansas.

Several local students signed on the first signing day in December and more could sign as the school year goes on.

Congratulations to these players and good luck in your college careers.
