At this time of impending Mardi Gras, the Daily News wishes to remind you to celebrate the season, by dancing and singing along with all the “Mardi Gras Mambo” music. And get fully into the magic of your moments.

We in this state live by the motto “Let the good times roll.” But that can prove problematic if it includes any consumption of what are called “adult beverages.” And we in this state often include them in our revelries. But we don’t have to include them. And an argument can be made that we’d be better off, personally and collectively, if we didn’t.

We would like to ask you to get into the magic of Mardi Gras with a childlike abandon. It’s a day that you can choose to be whatever you want to be, from a unicorn to a queen! Get into the music of the many krewe’s celebrations.

Do all that with a childlike innocence. Remain fully conscious, and really get into the magic of the day. Where better could you dance to and sing all of the excellent Mardi Gras music but at a parade?
