The Daily News would like to congratulate the Bogalusa Mill for celebrating its 100th year of paper production.

The mill will officially mark the occasion this Saturday at the main stage of Cassidy Park. The event will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., and all citizens are invited to the party. There will be bounce houses, games, music, a photo booth and food, among other activities.

It is hard to imagine the history of Bogalusa without the paper mill. Through the years, it has gone through several different owners and names, but it has always remained an integral part of our local economy. In addition, the mill has also supported Bogalusa in many other ways, including through donations and community service.

Congratulations to the Bogalusa Mill for 100 years, and here’s hoping for 100 more and beyond.
