Alberta Weary Robinson was born to the late Isaiah and Susie Weary on March 9, 1934, in Angie. She departed this life on Nov. 17, 2017, surrounded by her loved ones at her home.

Alberta was the last living child born to Isaiah and Susie. She was married to B. J. Robinson. She was a faithful member of Mary’s Chapel A.M.E. Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories: one loving and devoted daughter-in-law, Helen Weary; three grandchildren, Barbara (Donald) Cox, Tilena (Stanldy) Martin and Charles (Chaska) Weary Jr.; seven great grandchildren, Gabrielle Martin, Kashmia Weary, Hatteish Newell, Christopher Newell, Justin Cox, Tia Weary and Charles Weary III; three great-great-grandchildren, Taniya Newell, Kashun Newell and Terry Contrelle Newell; goddaughter, Sherita Smith; godson, Kolufax Spikes; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Alberta was preceded in death by her loving husband, B. J. Robinson; her son, Charles Ray Weary Sr.; one granddaughter, Sherlene Orr; three sisters and eight brothers.

Visitation will be at Mary’s Chapel A.M.E. Church on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon with the funeral service beginning at noon. The Rev. T. August will be officiating, with eulogist, Dausha Spikes.

Interment in Robinson Cemetery in Varnado.
