The Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival gets underway today and continues tomorrow with plenty of entertainment and fun.

Tonight, the gates open at 3 p.m. and the musical entertainment begins at 5:30 p.m. with Colin Lake on the Blues Stage. Anders Osborne is the headliner and will begin performing at 9 p.m.

Before the music starts for the festival’s second day tomorrow, the annual Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival 5K race will be held. The event begins at 8 a.m. and registration along with check in is running from 7 a.m. until 7:45 a.m.

The event is a great chance to compete and get in a good cardio workout in the 3.1-mile event, as you begin a day of fun.

The cost is $25 and you can visit www.bogalusablues.com/festival-5k-signup.

Good luck to all of the runners and to those who are putting on the race for a successful event.

And of course, there’s also a whole second day of music and fun Saturday as well. The gates open at 10 a.m. and music kicks off at 11:45 a.m. at the Heritage Stage and 1 p.m. at the Blues Stage.
