Lydona Lassley Dunaway, 64, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2017, at Marion Nursing Home in Hamilton, Ala. She was a resident of Bogalusa for most of her life, until she moved to Alabama to be near her daughter in 2013.
She is survived by one daughter, Robin Sholar and her husband Dwight of Ponchatoula; a brother, Rev. Larry Lassley and wife Catherine of Bogalusa; a brother-in-law, Randy Freeman of Bogalusa; her grandchildren, Brooke Holloway of Slidell, Emily Holloway of Bogalusa, Sarah Holloway of Ponchatoula, and Evan Sholar of Ponchatoula; one great grandchild due in January; a special cousin, Sheila Boswell and husband James of Union, Miss.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Janell Lassley; her sister, Judy Freeman; and one grandson, Brendon Holloway.
Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 30, at Calvary Christian Fellowship Church, located at 1240 Ave. F in Bogalusa, from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 2 p.m. The Rev. Larry Lassley and Bro. Drew Turnage will officiate and interment will follow at Ponemah Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Ford, Cannon Thomas, Evan Sholar, James Boswell, Randy Freeman and George Freeman.
