Next weekend sets up for a ton of fun for music fans right here in our own backyard, as the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival gets underway next Friday and continues on Saturday.

The event features great music over the two days that the festival takes place on the Blues Stage and the Heritage Stage.

Performances on the Blues State begin Friday at 5:30 p.m. and the last one is set for 9 p.m.

On Saturday, the Heritage Stage has performances starting at 11:45 a.m. and running through 5:15 p.m. while the Blues Stage’s first performance is at 1 p.m. and the final one is set for 8:30 p.m.

It all takes place in Cassidy Park.

Besides the music, there are different events like the 5K run/walk race, rock climbing, train rides, the splash pad and face painting.

There’s fun for everybody.

So take time next weekend to attend the Bogalusa Blues and Heritage Festival.
